I've been asked before what type of makeup do I use, so I decided to make a post! I will soon post a tutorial on how I do my "golden" eyes! xoxo - kati
SO, I used to be a HUGE makeup junkie, and would obsesses and put on to much, but one time one of my guy friends just said, lay off on the make-up you are pretty without it. Ever sense there, I've been WAY more mellow on the make. Now, Im more about the organic and the natural look, then the plastic and artificial look! Every girl once to look their best right?
1. Number one is my "urban decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil, I have the color "bourbon." I purchased this from sephora but you can purchase it online as well. As I said, I am not into the new fashion that neon colors are pretty or cool, I prefer the classic hues of black and different shades or brown, as well as gold. I think it also gives a more softer and casual look. Bourbon is a semi-light brown color that has sparkles in it to make your eyes pop more!
2. Number two is a gold liquid eyeliner from sephora as well. When I do my eyes, I first underline the tops of my lids with one of my brown shades of eyeliner, and then I add gold around the end of my eye and the end itself. I also add gold in the inner parts of my eyes to give each end of my eyes a dramatic look.
3. Number 3 is my other eyeliner that I switch in between with my urban decay eyeliner. This eyeliner is from the "body shop" ( expensive but organic products, yay!) The eyeliner I used is called 13 eye definer shade: "burnished amber" This is a more golden color that sparkles and shines and goes amazingly with my liquid gold eyeliner that I put on top!
4. Number four is my "golden mist spray", I obtained this from sephora as well, it looks like a perfume bottle and sprays like one too, except it sprays golden sparkles on you that I use to make my skin give a glowy look. The brand is Tarina Tarantino.
5. When painting my nails, if I EVER have the time to do so, I paint my nails neutral colors that have a shear to it, plain and simple! The brand I use is usually O.P.I or ESSIE. They have adorable neutral colors and its of great quality!
6. Number 6 is my number one favorite perfume! I very much dislike, heavy, toxic smells, and prefer rather light and flowery scents. The one I have is called "Creme de Mure" and I purchased it from urban outfitters, my beloved store!
7. Number seven is my plain and simple "neutral" colored lip gloss. Lipstick is too formal for me, and I can hardly pull it off, I much prefer just colored lip gloss. The lip gloss I have is "Burt's Bees" Super Shiny natural lip gloss that is the color called "zesty red." The color is the color of burgundy, and is my daily life saver for my chapped lips!
8. Number eight is my one and only favorite lip stain, I use this always before putting on my lip gloss, it gives my lips a more fuller look without being formal. The lip stain is from "The Body Shop" and is a lip & cheek stain, meaning that if you want a little blush, just dab it onto your cheeks and vuala! I have naturally very red cheeks so I have never tried it on my cheeks before, I suggest though, that if you were to apply some, that you apply it around the apples of your cheeks and near your cheekbones, that way it will highlight your bone structure and beautiful cheekbones.
9. The mascara I use is not fancy at all, I am not to picky on mascara as long as its not clumpy and is fine. I use brown massacre because of my hair color, and because I feel that it makes your eyelashes look more natural. The massacre is called "lash blast" by cover girl, and can be bought at any drug store, I bought mine at CVS.
10. Number ten is my ultimate favorite cover-up! I don't use to much because of these awesome skin products I own, that I will post later, but it is creamy and not clumpy, it fits right into your skin and looks like you never even put any on! The brand I use is called "Estee Lauder" and is "ideal light" brush on illuminator. Brush on as in you twist the bottom of the stick and concealer comes out of the brush which you then dab on your blemishes. I NEVER suggest using a sponge to put on your concealer, always use your FINGERS. Your fingers have natural oils that are actually good for your skin, while when using a sponge it first, pushes the makeup over your face like a mask, that will CLOG your pores and cause pimples, and second, if you keep using the same sponge, dirt will accumulate as well as bacteria and other substances that are just not good for your skin. So PLEASE use your fingers, when applying concealer, and just remember to wash your hands before applying.
